BACKGROUND

I started working at Alterna as a Wealth Advisor in early 2019. My industry experience also includes being a Senior Financial Services Representative at a major bank, where I provided customized investment advice and helped clients with their financing needs. I was also a Senior Financial Advisor at another Canadian bank, where my responsibilities included working with mass-affluent clients and offering them holistic financial advice. 

In my current role, I’m primarily focused on helping our members with their personal finances and their “Wealthbeing.” Even in my university days, I knew I wanted to help people and that I had a true affinity for working with numbers. I realized the Financial Advisor/Wealth Advisor role would be a great fit for me. As a Wealth Advisor, my first and foremost objective is to help our members to reach their unique personal finance goals. 

By working with me, members can expect accountability and holistic, goals-based financial advice. We will work together to prioritize their goals, identify and implement the steps that each member needs to take, and conduct a regular review that tracks the progress they have made towards achieving their goals. 

I can provide wealth planning services in several languages, including English, Hindi and Gujarati.

EDUCATION

Studying in India, I attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration degree (Finance). I also earned my Responsible Investment Specialist designation and a post-graduate Certificate in Financial Planning from George Brown College. 

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Caring for our communities is embedded in Alterna's mission. We give over one million dollars a year in donations, sponsorships and community support - alongside countless volunteer hours. Alterna also provides an annual paid volunteer day to all employees, encouraging them to donate time to causes in their local communities.
